Getting to the area is easy with flights from many UK airports into Limoges (55km) and Poitiers (66km); the nearest trains at Le Dorat (15km) have links to services to Poitiers train station where you have TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux, London & Brussels.
One of the houses is attached at one side to another house, the 2nd house, used as a gite is detatched; both have their own private gardens; there is also a well.

Haute-Vienne is a department in the Aquitaine-Limousin-Poitou-Charentes region of France. The Haute-Vienne department has a lot to offer any history enthusiast. Remnants from both the Palaeolithic and Mesolithic eras have been discovered here and there are burial chambers and standings stone to be visited here. Archaeologists have also discovered Bronze Age artefacts. There are two Regional Natural Parks; The Perigord-Limousin and The Millevaches. These are not to be missed, along with museums and historic monuments. The Vassiviere Lake (one of France’s largest artificial lakes) is in the Haute-Vienne. This is a very popular lake during summer months where many activities can be enjoyed.
